About our logo

The Château Frontenac, a 19th-century railway hotel, overlooks the St. Lawrence River and is a powerful symbol of Quebec City. On this river of pixels, a canoe glides by—a nod to Indigenous peoples and to the journeys of discovery and travel undertaken across this vast territory. Quebec City is situated at the crossroads of Nionwentsïo territory of the Huron-Wendat people, the Ndakina territory of the Wabanaki people, the Nitassinan of the Innu people and the Wolastokuk territory of the Wolastoqey people.

Finally, the colours and movement of the squares represent the St. Lawrence River, an integral component to the history and current activities of the region.

Logo created by graphic designer Julie Charland.
