Our committees

iPRES is organized by the digital preservation community for the digital preservation community, with work shared by the following committees:

  • The Communications Committee oversees the planning, timeline, and implementation of the conference’s communication strategy. The team works closely with the other committees to prepare, relay and publish information for our community. Communications are done in French and in English, reviewers for both languages are welcome.

  • The Programme Committee is responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of the conference program. Key responsibilities include managing the call for papers, coordinating the review and acceptance process, organizing awards, inviting speakers, and creating the proceedings.

  • The Finance Committee is responsible for overseeing and managing the conference budget. The team helps in identifying and reaching out to potential sponsors, or identify financing opportunities.

  • The Draft Declaration Committee will be tasked to coordinate the activities leading to the preparation of a draft version of a Declaration on AI usage in the context of digital preservation and archival practices. This is a side project to the preparation of iPRES 2027, and will continue after the event.
